Back and Neck pain
Research suggests that approximately 80% of the population will suffer from back pain at some stage in their life and a further 10% will suffer serious disability as a result. Back pain has a large variety of causes and therefore requires appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners who are trained to differentiate between mechanical lower back pain or injury and more complicated back pain which may require further investigation or referral. Osteopaths are able to refer for both x-rays (bulk billed) and MRIs to assist with diagnosis and management of spinal injury.
